What a goal! Princess Cruises to screen every minute of the World Cup

Princess Cruises is to screen all 64 games of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia on nine of its ships.

The line will broadcast every minute of the action, from the opening match on 14 June to the final in Moscow a month later.

Games will air on Princess’ giant Movies Under the Stars top-deck LED screens, which have space for hundreds of guests to watch the action.

2018 FIFA World Cup games will be shown on both the Sapphire Princess and Royal Princess cruise ships, which are based in Southampton. During this time the 2,670-guest Sapphire Princess will depart on a series of roundtrip voyages to northern Europe, while the 3,560-guest Royal Princess is sailing a season around the British Isles.

Games will also be shown on the Pacific Princess, which is based in Dover and sailing for a season to destinations across northern Europe.

2018 FIFA World Cup games will similarly be shown on Crown Princess (Mediterranean), Diamond Princess (Japan), Emerald Princess (Alaska), Majestic Princess (China), Regal Princess (Scandinavia and Russia) and Sea Princess (world cruise)

Guests can also take part in themed entertainment and activities including interactive PlayStation game play on Movies Under the Stars, penalty shoot outs, football giveaways and themed food and drink.

Meanwhile guests attending 2018 FIFA World Cup games in St Petersburg are eligible to obtain a FAN ID which grants them visa-free entry into Russia on the day of their match.
