The clock is ticking for new look Minerva ...

The clock continues to count down to the remergence of Swan Hellenic's Minerva following her significant upgrade.

And with 50 days to go, excitement is growing.

Says Colin Stone, managing director of both Swan Hellenic and Hebridean Island Cruises: “The ship’s company and our shore side team are all very excited about this next era of cultural discovery cruising.

“With an exceptional amount of interest generated following September’s refurbishment announcement, passengers awaiting Minerva’s return in 2012 can look forward to experiencing her renowned hospitality, tailor-made shore excursions and enlightening programme of Guest Speakers.”

Changes to the new look mv Minerva include extensions of the internal and external public areas as well as a new wrap-around observation lounge, the Orpheus Lounge, which will provide comfort and extensive forward panoramic views.

Innovative design will also extend the size of Shackleton’s Bar and create a new Internet Lounge.

Swan Hellenic is also increasing the size of 32 cabins by adding balcony facilities, raising the number of balcony suites to 23 per cent of all cabin accommodation.

All 181 passenger cabins are being upgraded with new en-suite bathrooms.
