The 3,600-guest ship was named by the Duchess of Cambridge in Southampton in June 2013 and was the first of two new-generation ships for Princess built by Fincantieri at their Monfalcone shipyard in Italy. Sister ship Regal Princess arrived in 2014.

Royal Princess will be sailing in the Mediterranean next summer with cruises starting from £799pp.
