SeaDream features two Amazon cruises and a call at Dover in 2012

SeaDream Yacht Club's 2012 programme features a second year in the Baltic, two 20-day Amazon adventures and new European ports of call, including Dover.

In 2012, SeaDream II will sail to the Baltic adding new ports of call including:

  • Dover, England - being used as a turn-round port, easily accessible from London
  • Skagen, Denmark: A popular summer resort and artist colony located at the northern-most
    point of Denmark

  • Harlingen, Netherlands: A charming Dutch town founded in 1234
  • Brugge, Belgium: One of Belgium’s most historic cities where SeaDream’s small size allows
her to navigate up the canal into the city

  • Sylt Island, Germany:  Germany’s fashionable summer retreat on the North Sea
  • SeaDream I of SeaDream Yacht Club
SeaDream II will be cruising the Amazon twice in 2012

SeaDream I and II will spend early 2012 sailing the Caribbean with an emphasis on visiting the smaller yachting playgrounds and harbours, which large ships cannot reach.

In addition, SeaDream II will be adding two 20-day voyages to the Amazon in February.

Says SeaDream’s president Bob Lepisto said: “The British Virgin Islands, such as Norman Island, Jost van Dyke and Virgin Gorda ,are true yachting destinations and continue to be a SeaDream favourite. However, we are excited to be adding the Amazon to our 2012 itinerary.”

The Mediterranean is traditionally a popular region for SeaDream Yacht Club and 2012 features new ports and voyages including:

  • 11-night voyage round-trip from Istanbul: calling on Sochi (Stalin’s summer retreat ansite
of the 2014 Winter Olympics) & Sulina (a small Romanian port on the Danube delta nature
    reserve)

  • Nesebur, Bulgaria: A UNESCO World Heritage Site, making it one of the rarest places in
    the world

  • Albania: The small southern port of Sarande gives access to Butrint, a unique
    archaeological site

  • Turkey’s Turquoise Coast: Sail southwest Turkey’s beautiful coastline from Bodrum to
    Fethiye

  • Croatia: New Croatian destinations for SeaDream include Sibenik, Opatija and the nature
    reserve of Mljet
