P&O Cruises offers its most diverse and adventurous programme ever for 2012

P&O Cruises continues to find new places to discover, and features 13 new ports of call in its 2012 programme including Ancona, on Italy’s eastern coast, Durres in Albania and Kalmar in Sweden.

Its 2012 programme features 215 cruise holidays to 255 ports in 84 countries with holiday durations ranging from two to 109 nights and fares starting from £199*.

Oceana will spend the winter cruising from Southampton

For the second year of Oceana will be winter cruising from Southampton, and for the first time include two short cruises for Christmas and New Year. These cruises offer the chance to spend Boxing Day in Copenhagen or New Years Eve in Amsterdam, for some genuine festive charm whilst only being away for four or seven days.
 
P&O Cruises managing director Carol Marlow said: “P&O Cruises offers the greatest choice of ex-UK cruises and this year will be sailing 148 roundtrip cruises from Southampton.

“2012 will also see the first full year for our new addition, Adonia. She will offer fly cruises to the Mediterranean featuring some very diverse and adventurous ports of call, such as Trapani in Italy and Sanary Sur Mer in France, which will appeal to a more experienced passenger.

“Cruising with us is excellent value for money but booking early gives passengers even better value for money with special savings, on board credit offers and even some free adult and child spaces, as well as an extra 10% Anniversary Year discount.”

P&O Cruises can trace its roots back to 1837 and will be celebrating 175 years of ocean travel in 2012. So on July 3 all seven ships will be together in Southampton for the first time ever for The Grand Event and the subsequent seven Grand Event cruises will be heritage themed with special on board entertainment including a 175th Anniversary Gala dinner, heritage art display, guest speakers and more.
