MS Finnmarken rejoins the Hurtigruten fleet
MS Finnmarken, which has been charted in Australia for two years, is to return to the Hurtigruten fleet to sail the Norwegian coast.
As one of the operator’s newest and largest ships, she will sail the traditional coastal voyage route from Bergen to Kirkenes frim February 16, 2012, replacing MS Nordlys for a short time and then MS Nordstjernen which will head to Spitsbergen.

Finnmarken rejoins the Hurtigruten fleet in February
Finnmarken is currently undergoing a thorough refurbished so as to be in peak condition when she resumes services for Hurtigruten.
One of the favourite ships among Hurtigruten guests, she is the only one with a pool and with various cabins with balconies. The ship has 283 cabins and 639 beds.
The ship was built in Ulsteinvik in Norway and has been part of the Hurtigruten fleet since 2002.
Finnmarken will replace Nordlys, which will be undergoing repairs and is expected to return to the Hurtigruten schedule on March 22. From then, Finnmarken will take the place in the schedule of Nordstjernen, which will be operating in the Svalbard archipelago during the summer.
