New ‘Climate Voyage’ visiting remote island of Jan Mayen,from £1866pp
For 2011, the eight-day climate voyage will take a new itinerary and travel from Iceland to Spitsbergen, making an inaugural visit to Jan Mayen, one of the most isolated islands on the planet. Its closest land mass is Iceland some 600km to the southwest.
Conditions allowing, a rare landing will be made here. Themed on climate change, shore landings, lectures and discussions help passengers gain a better understanding of this topical issue.

A new 11-day itinerary combining the coast of Norway and the north west of Spitsbergen with internal flights between. This trip takes in northern Spitsbergen including Ny Ålesund, the world’s most northerly permanent occupied settlement and crosses the 80th parallel to visit Moffen Island.

Remote settlements on ‘Glaciers and Icebergs’ voyage, from £3671pp
This 9-day expedition along Greenland’s west coast visits places only accessible by ship including Itilleq, a small and isolated community with just 130 inhabitants who exist on hunting and fishing. With more than 80 per cent of the country covered in ice, this is a polar destination like no other. There will hopefully be the chance to meet local Inuits and perhaps even watch the crew of MS Fram play football against the locals in Itilleq.
