Fantastic prizes to be won during CLIA Cruise Week starting 19 September

Fancy winning a champagne afternoon tea or a red carpet film premiere experience? Well these are just a couple of the prizes being offered by CLIA in its Cruise Week which kicks off on Saturday (19 September).

On each of the seven days of Cruise Week, organised by the Cruise Lines International Association, budding cruise passengers and travel agents will have the chance to win a host of different exciting prizes

Lunch at Gordon Ramsay’s Michelin-star restaurant, Maze, is among the prizes on offer

The event champions the wide variety of attractions and experiences available on a cruise holiday, with a particular focus on destinations, boutique cruises, entertainment, food, health and wellbeing, accommodation and family.

Various days of Cruise Week will promote a different benefit of cruise holidays and visitors to cruise will have the chance to win a variety of prizes, including:

  • Destination – Win a £150 voucher from Great British Chefs to put towards a meal at one of their participating restaurants. Also up for grabs is a signed bottle of wine from British connoisseur and television presenter, Oz Clarke, both courtesy of Celebrity Cruises
  • Boutique cruises - Win a pair of beautiful Riedel wine decanters, courtesy of and commemorating Crystal Cruises’ 25th Anniversary
  • Entertainment - Win a red carpet experience at a forthcoming Walt Disney Studios premiere in London, including overnight accommodation and dinner for two, courtesy of Disney Cruise Line
  • Food - Win an indulgent champagne afternoon tea for two at Eric Lanlard’s luxury patisserie, Cake Boy, courtesy of P&O Cruises
  • Health - Win a delicious five course lunch tasting menu with champagne for two at Gordon Ramsay’s Michelin star restaurant, Maze, courtesy of Princess Cruises and Red Letter Days
  • Accommodation - Win an elegant beach bag full of premium goodies including Molton Brown toiletries, courtesy of Seabourn Cruise Line
  • Family – Win a digital Nikon underwater camera and capture every moment of your holiday, courtesy of CLIA UK & Ireland
  • Cruise Week provides an opportunity for the travel industry to promote the benefits of cruise holidays and aims to encourage more people to consider a cruise for the first time. Competition entrants should visit to discover which prize is available each day.

In addition to seven days of prizes, you can take advantage of special value-added offers throughout the week and travellers, agents, ports and destinations around the world will be encouraged to get involved on social media using the hashtag #CLIACruiseFest.

Andy Harmer, Director of CLIA UK and Ireland, said: “This year marks our eighth Cruise Week which celebrates cruise holidays and champions the vast range of options available on a cruise, from food and facilities, to the choice of destinations, both on oceans and rivers. We’re excited to offer travellers a choice of seven fantastic prizes and give a snapshot of the huge choice of experiences available on cruise holidays.”
