Cruising is on the crest of a wave as a record number of people explore the four corners of the world from the comfort of a cruise ship, and with National Cruise Week on the horizon there’s never a better time to set sail.

Travel agents the length and breadth of the UK will be hosting events and featuring special offers.

Cruising is now one of the most popular holiday choices and National Cruise Week, which runs from September 19 to 26 September, highlights the huge variety and the excellent value offered by a cruise holiday.

A record 1.65 million Britons are expected to take a cruise this year - more than a seven per cent increase on 2009.

Fourteen new cruises ships launch this year including P&O Cruises’ Azura, Cunard Line’s Queen Elizabeth, Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Epic and Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Eclipse, with another 16 launching by the end of 2012.

Whether it’s lazy river cruises with spectacular scenery, adventure to the Amazon or the Arctic, or travelling with your family to the Caribbean or Mediterranean, jump aboard for National Cruise Week and celebrate cruising with some great deals on offer throughout the week.
