Cruisers deserve better ports and transport links, says Penning
The Government needs to look at improving ports and transport links to boost cruising, shipping minister Miker Penning has told the ACE UK Cruise Convention.
He said the importance of the UK cruise industry and the significant part played by cruise ships to local economies is fully recognised.

More than 600 delegates have gathered in Southampton for the three-day convention, which ends tomorrow (May 5).
Addresssing delegates onboard Fred Olsen’s Balmoral, he said the Government needs to consider development of ports and transport links to reflect the enjoyable and high standards of cruising.
During the convention, agents will attend business seminars, watch debates between the industries top representations and make five ships visits including Cunard’s newly launched Queen Elizabeth.
