Revealed: Seabourn’s new Signature Restaurant, The Grill By Thomas Keller

imageSeabourn’s new signature fine-dining restaurant, The Grill by Thomas Keller, which will debut in May 2016 on Seabourn Quest, has been unveiled.
With a menu and ambiance inspired by the classic American chophouse, The Grill is a collaboration between three-star Michelin chef Thomas Keller and designer Adam Tihany.
Says Seabourn president Richard Meadows: “The Grill by Thomas Keller will take our already award-winning cuisine to new heights.”

image Holland America Line’s seventh “Countdown to Koningsdam” video takes viewers to Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard for the arrival of several of the officers and crew. The short videos have been to build anticipation and share updates as ms Koningsdam nears delivery.

Later Miami sailings for Norwegian Escape to help UK cruisers

image To boost growth on European markets, Norwegian Cruise Line has changed the departure time of its seven-night cruises from Miami on Norwegian Escape to the Eastern Caribbean to 19:00 from 7 May to 16 July and from 3 September to 31 December. This later departure time allows passengers to fly from many European airports on the day of embarkation without a prior overnight stay.
Norwegian Escape leaves Miami for the Eastern Caribbean every Saturday and visits St. Thomas (American Virgin Islands), Tortola (British Virgin Islands) and Nassau in the Bahamas as part of her week-long voyage.

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises increases growth in 2015 English-speaking passenger figures

image Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ efforts efforts to increase the appeal of its luxury ship Europa 2 and expedition ship, the Hanseatic, to international markets have proved successful. The German-based cruise operator achieved a fleet-wide increase of 107 per cent English-speaking guests in 2015, with a 98 per cent rise for Europa 2 in particular. An episode of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ highlights why the ship proved appealing to English-speaking guests.
