Compagnie du Ponant’s Le Diamant sold to Bahamian investors
Compagnie du Ponant's has sold its cruise yacht Le Diamant to a Bahamian group of investors for an undisclosed sum.
International Shipping Partners said it arranged the transfer of the ship, which was available for a long-term charter.

Le Diamant started life in the Seventies as a cargo vessel
Compagnie du Ponant had already scrapped Le Diamant’s Asia programme because of its dwindling popularity in the region, possibly in fluenced by the disasters in Japan.
The 8,000-ton ship, to be delivered next month, was originally built in 1974 as a cargo vessel before being repurposed as a cruise ship in 1986, emerging as Song of Flower. It has a passenger capacity of 226, with 113 staterooms.
