Compagnie du Ponant to join Passenger Shipping Association
Compagnie du Ponant, the luxury French yacht cruise operator, is joining the Passenger Shipping Association, the well-established UK cruise industry body.
Stephen Winter, Compagnie du Ponant’s international sales director, says: “We are very excited to have the PSA’s support, expertise and reputation behind us to help increase our brand awareness in the UK.
“With more than 20,000 passengers a year, and a rapidly increasing number of bookings from the UK, Compagnie du Ponant offers a strong high-end luxury product which, we think, fits the UK market perfectly.”
Compagnie du Ponant is a specialist in soft expeditions and great journeys around the world – the cruise line has run Antarctic cruises for years and is currently developing a new Arctic itinerary cruising through the North-West Passage for its brand new ship Le Soléal, launching in July 2013.
With many themed-cruises - opera and classical music, golf, and gourmet - taking place throughout the year, Compagnie du Ponant offers guests a unique luxury product combined with world-famous French savoir-faire.
And for the first time this year, Compagnie du Ponant is participating in the PSA’s annual National Cruise Week, taking place 15 – 23 September, and which, this year focuses on Greatest Journeys.
