Compagnie du Ponant launches dedicated UK winter brochure
The very French cruise line Compagnie du Ponant is adopting a more international feel with the introduction a dedicated UK brochure for winter 2011/2012.
Its 126-page brochure features 89 voyages aboard the 32-cabin, three-masted Le Ponant, pictured; the sleek, 45-cabin Le Levant; sister superyachts Le Boréal and L’Austral; and the more traditional 226-guest Le Diamant.
The cruises, priced in UK sterling, are presented by destination: seven major regions with a focus on certain ports of call and a summary of excursions and pre and post-cruise programmes. There is also a map of the world to assist the reader, with a calendar of departures and a list of on-shore packages.
Highlighted are the profiles of speakers and specialists and themed cruises, from haute cuisine to wellness.
For September 2011 to May 2012, Compagnie du Ponant has presented a programme combining unusual, worldwide destinations and finely-tuned itineraries aboard the five ships.

The launch of L’Austral in April 2011, she will sail to Antarctica, South Georgia, Australia and the Pacific
New Destinations: Australia and the Pacific from Darwin to Valparaiso; The Azores on Le Boreal; Cuba and the Dominican Republic; Indonesia, Borneo and the Philippines
Unusual Itineraries: sailing up Guadalguivir to Seville on Le Levant; a cruise from Haiphong (Vietnam) to Manila (Philippines) on Le Diamant.
The winter brochure opens up a privileged world of “Yacht Cruises” which have become the signature of Compagnie du Ponant. All the crew on board the yacht ships are totally fluent in both English and French; and on many of the voyages passengers will have the opportunity to meet top-level guides, lecturers and naturalists.

Le Ponant: 6 nights, Alexandra to Aqaba, departing 20 November 2011 – from £1,589 per person plus £214pp pp port and safety taxes
Le Levant: 7 nights, Fort de France to Cayenne, departing 12 November 2011 – from £1,308 per person plus £249pp port and safety taxes
The fares shown above are per person, port to port, sharing a double cabin, with full board.
