Celebrity Cruises gets personal with enhanced concierge service

Celebrity Cruises has introduced a new Personal Concierge programme giving guests the opportunity to get expert advice when planning special occasions.

Personal Concierges can help guests plan and arrange a whole range of experiences and activities such as private shore excursions, spa and specialty dining experiences, onboard birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and retirement celebrations. The help and advice from the Personal Concierge is free of charge; guests only pay for the services and events arranged.

Says Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, senior vice president of Hotel Operations: “We have designed the new Personal Concierge programme to help guests make their holiday with us a truly personalised experience. The Personal Concierge on each ship is an expert in matching Celebrity Cruises onboard offerings to guests’ individual preferences.

“Recently, a guest sailing on Celebrity Summit asked the Personal Concierge to help him plan a special evening where he would propose to his girlfriend. The Personal Concierge spent time discussing the guest’s ideal evening, and created an unforgettable romantic experience.

“A table in the ship’s exclusive wine cellar was arranged for dinner that evening and a dozen red roses ordered for delivery during the meal. The concierge also reserved a table in the ship’s nightclub with a bottle of chilled champagne. While they were enjoying the evening, the concierge sent the Celebrity Cruises “Classic Romance” package of strewn rose petals, champagne, and chocolate-covered strawberries to their stateroom.”

Celebrity Cruises Personal Concierges can also assist guests with pre-cruise purchases of onboard experiences made through the online store.

The Personal Concierge programme will be across the fleet by September 1, with the exception of Celebrity Xpedition, the 92-guest yacht sailing year-round in the Galapagos Islands.
