The 91,000-ton Norwegian Star underwent a multi-million-dollar refurbishment in 2004 and emerged with a 10,000-sq-ft casino, along with a steak house and new hull artwork.
The Teen Club on Deck 7 was transformed into the Pearl Martini Lounge and the adjoining Karaoke Circus became the Carousel Bar and Night Club. The Teen Club, along with the Video Arcade, moved to Deck 12 aft in the Market Cafe. The space housing the Video Arcade became an expanded gym area for the Barong Fitness Center.
In keeping with the revolutionary Freestyle Cruising concept where guests can dine wherever, whenever, and with whomever they wish, Norwegian Star features 16 distinct dining options, along with 12 bars and lounges, an enormous spa and a wide range of staterooms, suites and villas.
For kids, the ship’s Splash Down Kid’s Pool, Planet Kids children’s center, Video Zone video arcade, sports court, golf driving nets and movie theater keeps keep them entertained.
