Norwegian Spirit
Multi-million dollar refurbishment enhances the guest experience even further
Cruising the Caribbean and Bermuda, along with Canada and New England in the fall, Norwegian Spirit is all about travelling in style. And a multi-million dollar refurbishment in November 2008 enhanced the guest experience even further.
The 2,376 passenger ship, which joined the fleet in 2004, received a complete renovation to all its public areas, staterooms and suites in addition to extensive improvements already made as part of NCL’s fleet-wide initiative ito boost the on board experience.
UK general manager Stephen Park said: “Norwegian Spirit’s overhaul means that thousands of passengers will benefit from much improved interiors and on board facilities, all of which will make their time with us more enjoyable. The recent enhancements coupled with the current refurbishments means that Norwegian Spirit will emerge refreshed and revitalised for her much anticipated winter season sailing seven-day Exotic Western Caribbean cruises from New Orleans.”
The refurbishment programme included:
Seating throughout the ship reupholstered
There’s a water theme across the ship with the Tivoli Pool, four outdoor hot tubs, two Aquaswim water “treadmills” and the kid-favourite Buccaneer’s Wet & Wild, with waterslides, a paddle pool and hot tub.
Norwegian Spirit has two indoor boulevards and a six deck high atrium, and features a mixture of western and oriental décor.
