Anthem of the Seas

Third largest ship in the world joins 'mould-breaking' fleet

Royal Caribbean's 168,000-ton Anthem of the Seas is the third largest ship in the world, joining the Royal Caribbean International fleet after her christening in Southampton on 20 April, 2015

The ship was officially handed over to RCCL by Meyer Werft Yard’s managing partner Bernard Meyer in a signing ceremony in Bremerhaven, Germany, on 10 April, 2015, when Richard D Fain, RCCL’s chairman, described the ship as “mould-breeaking”.

Anthem of the Seas is spending her first season sailing out of Southampton to the Mediterranean and Canary Islands until October, after which she will transfer to her permanent home in New York Harbor.

From there the ship will sail regularly from Cape Liberty Cruise Port on adventures to Bermuda, the Caribbean and Canada and New England.
