Titan

A world class collection of luxury cruise options

Titan Travel, the award-winning tour operator which celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2013, has come a long way from selling UK coach tours from a shop in Reigate back in 1978.

The company has grown to offer a worldwide programme of over 300 individual itineraries incorporating travel by coach and rail, ocean and river cruise, visiting more than 70 countries and all seven continents. An escorted holiday with Titan really can take you to any corner of the globe.

Despite its size Titan still maintains its “customer first” philosophy whether it be on a tour of Venice or Vietnam, Alaska or Australia. These special touches include direct schedule flights, quality hotels and cruises, the services of a Titan tour manager throughout and door-to-door transfers with the VIP Home Departure Service from all across the UK.

Renowned for value for money tours, passengers can be assured that the earlier they book, the less they pay thanks to the company’s price promise, and early bookers also benefit from securing their holiday with a low deposit and the option to pay the balance by instalments.

On water Titan works with a number of cruise lines to offers a programme of river and ocean cruises for both escorted groups and independent travellers.

One of their main river cruise partners is Uniworld, with whom they have an exclusive partnership in the UK to offer a world class collection of luxury cruise options on their fleet of floating boutique-style hotels to some of the grandest and most scenic waterways of Europe, Russia, Egypt and Indochina and China.

The deluxe vessels are well suited to the independent traveller, offering flexible departure dates throughout the year and make an ideal ‘homes from home’ presenting countless opportunities to relax as they sail serenely from city to iconic city, with scenic panoramas unfolding at every turn.

The majority of vessels in the Uniworld fleet have been designed by Red Carnation Hotels and include original works of art, antiques and elegant furnishings. Each one has an average capacity of 130 guests, the highest staff-to-guest ratio in the river cruise industry and is now rated as a Six-Star experience with guaranteed river-view staterooms and exceptional award winning fine dining throughout.

New for 2013 was the Queen Isabel that launched on the Douro where it became the finest vessel to sail Portugal’s “River of Gold”. The following year the “Super Ship” S.S. Catherine began sailing the Rhone and Saone through Provence and Burgundy and in 2015 the S.S. Maria Theresa bena cruising the Rhine, Main and Danube.

For those undecided between the elegance and relaxation of a cruise and the enthralling insight of an escorted tour, Titan’s ‘Cruise & Tour’ programme could be the perfect choice.

A further enhancement to the VIP Home Departure Service for passengers travelling with Uniworld in 2014 is the addition of friendly Titan airport representatives to assist in the check-in process.
